Things About Me

About Jon Pianki and the Design things he does

Few things have been more constant in my life than the arts. That is to say that if you dropped me off on a deserted island for a few days, after first building some sort of shelter and starting a fire, I would probably start designing a new font for “SOS.”

So it isn’t a surprise that I majored in Graphic Design at Anderson University before settling down in the Indianapolis area to do it professionally. While at Anderson University, I started working as a freelance designer (under the company name, Blind Eye Design) for several smaller local business which quickly snowballed into several very consistent clients.

Following graduation I began working as an In-house Graphic Designer and Director of Marketing for two local companies (Continental Inc. and I Power Energy Systems) all while maintaining my freelance work through a multimedia start-up company (Blind Eye Creative, LLC) that I started with a childhood friend and fellow Anderson University Graduate, David Neidert.

After three years of working with Blind Eye Creative, David and I decided to dissolve Blind Eye Creative to pursue other personal and professional goals. David Neidert launched his new video production company, Three Wave Motion Pictures and I am here working with my new company, Pianki Design.

I’ve designed everything from brochures to giant posters, but spend most of my time designing and implementing logos, websites and business cards among other things.

When I am not designing, you can usually find me mountain biking, with friends or grilling out (not in that order or even seperately).

I hope you enjoy my website. Come back often to see the latest updates to my Portfolio (Logo, Print & Web) and Blog. I have a lot of great things in the works, including Graphic Design tutorials and articles for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Web Design, Marketing and much more.
